Age & Supervision Rules
- Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour (not necessarily on the same line).
- Teenagers aged 14–17 years may participate without an accompanying adult, provided that a responsible adult signs the waiver.
- Guides may stop a minor from participating if fear compromises their safety or enjoyment.
Health Restrictions
- This is a high-intensity activity and is not suitable for individuals with:
- Back, neck, bone, muscle, or heart conditions
- Recent surgeries or fractures (within the last year), especially in the head, limbs, abdomen, or spine
- Pregnancy
- Use of casts, splints, or orthopedic boots
- Medical conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, epilepsy, or any other that limits the ability to follow instructions without prior medical approval
Accessibility
- The tour is accessible for wheelchair users weighing up to 84 kg (185 lb).
- Prior approval from the safety promoter is required.
Not Allowed During the Activity
- Caps, hats, bags, cameras, cell phones, drones, or any loose objects
- Sandals or inappropriate footwear
Tips- Wear comfortable and light clothes, better if they are breathable.
- Bring a jacket or raincoat, just in case a friendly rain comes by.
- Wear hiking or tennis shoes, preferably something comfortable and enclosed.
- Sunscreen is always recommended in this beautiful tropical country.
- Insect repellent will be a good idea to have, specially (as locals will describe it) if you have ‘sweet’ skin.
- Wear protective glasses or goggles and a waterproof sweater in case of rain.
- Transportation is not included but available for an extra fee from most centrally located La Fortuna Hotels (no locations outside the La Fortuna area).
